This site was created for fans like me, who believe that the Buffalo Sabres are the best team in the National Hockey
League. I am a long time Sabres fan and this is the first site I have ever designed so I'm sorry if it comes across as "tacky"
or "lacking" but I will try my hardest to update whenever possible between school and work.
I was born in NC to a sterotypical Italian family from Buffalo. In North Carolina it's hard to find hockey fans,
and not only are they rare but there are a large number of people who, for whatever reason, absolutly hate hockey. It's
hard for me to live here away from my favorite sport but I make do, I play roller hockey every chance I get, but I live to
far from the rink so I can't join the league because I wouldn't be able to make all the games. But deep in the South
I've developed my passion for the Buffalo Sabres and I will be the single happiest person on Earth when they win the cup.
I admit the Sabres are not close to being the best team in the NHL like I stated earlier but I have faith that they can
be if they want to. We have all the young talent (Roy, Kotalik, Jillson, Pyatt, Bartovic, Janik, Tallender) we have
the veterans to lead them (Satan, Zhitnik, McKee, Patrick) and we have the guys who have been around long enough to know how
to find the back of the net (Dury, Briere, Dumont, Grier, Hecht, Connolly, Afinogenov) we've also got stength in the hitting
department (Peters, Boulton, Mair) and its not like any of them are hurting us in any department including those I didn't
list (Brown, Campbell, Fitzpatrick, Kalinin) We've also got prospects (Vanek, Miller) I think in the
near future, Buffalo will be recognized by the NHL as a competitor, hey, we only missed the playoffs by one spot and
that last month of the season was the best month I've seen out of them since trading Hasek. I'm going on record to say
this: Biron is our starter, Noronen is a good backup but he can't handle the pressure of a starting job. If Biron
can at least play consistantly (not neccasarily great) and not flop and force a rotation between the pipes like the last
two years then Buffalo WILL make the playoffs.
If there are any playoffs... we all know about the collective barganing agreement issue and lets all hope
the NHL doesn't shut down. I especially don't want 2004-2005 to be the year the NHL takes a break because the All
Star game in Febuary is going to be in Atlanta, and I'm going to try my hardest to go.
Thank you all for visiting my site and please check back often for updates and eventually I will finish this site.
